Polytechnic College / Kirkuk organises a scientific course entitled (Benefits of the Internet of Things)
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ashti Mahdi Arif, Dean of the Polytechnic College / Kirkuk,
The Computer Systems Technologies Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division at the Polytechnic College / Kirkuk, held a scientific course entitled
(Benefits of the Internet of Things), on 01/06/2026 for five days, as part of its scientific and awareness activities aimed at enhancing technical knowledge and keeping pace with recent developments in the field of the Internet of Things.
The course was delivered by: Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed (Rapporteur of the Electronics Technologies Department)
The course covered:
Introducing the concept of the Internet of Things and its working mechanism, in addition to explaining the importance of connecting smart devices and exchanging data between them, with a review of the most prominent practical applications of the Internet of Things in various fields such as smart homes, health, industry, and agriculture.
The course aimed to:
* Learn about the concept of the Internet of Things and its working mechanism.
* Understand practical applications in various fields such as smart homes, health, industry, and agriculture.
* Clarify the benefits provided by the Internet of Things in improving efficiency and saving time and resources.
* Develop awareness of the importance of modern technologies and their role in digital transformation.
The course explained:
The importance of the Internet of Things in developing modern work environments, and its role in facilitating monitoring, control and real-time data analysis, which contributes to improving performance and raising the level of automation in various sectors.
